George HW Bush taken to hospital Sorry - this page has been removed.
(3 months later)
George HW Bush, the former US president, has been taken to hospital in Houston, Texas, after becoming short of breath, according to a report. This could be because it launched early, our rights have expired, there was a legal issue, or for another reason.
The Reuters news agency quoted a Bush spokesman regarding the 90-year-old, whose son George W Bush also later served as president.
Bush was taken by ambulance to the Houston Methodist hospital as a precaution and “will be held for observation, again as a precaution”, the spokesman said. For further information, please contact:
The 41st president uses a wheelchair and has a form of Parkinson’s disease.
He previously spent nearly two months in the same hospital after treatment for a bronchitis-related cough and other health issues. The former president grew so ill during the stay that he was believed at one point to be near death and members of his family gathered around him. But he was discharged in January 2013 and even managed a skydive on his 90th birthday in June 2014.
Bush most recently appeared seated in a wheelchair at an event in November at Texas A&M University with his son and fellow ex-president.
