Version 0 of 1.

The “Entourage” movie has been promised, then delayed, then promised and delayed again so many times that it started to have that feel of an urban legend. Yeah, right, sure — we’ll get our “Entourage” movie just as soon as the “Arrested Development” one is in theaters, too.

We remained skeptical, even after all the creators and stars started tweeting that the movie was “officially a go” late last year. The project was a struggle from the start, as is often the case when high-profile TV shows are made into films. Remember the wrangling it took to get everyone involved? Reported hold-ups over salaries? Doomsday predictions from the show’s creator? It didn’t look good. But now, there’s irrefutable evidence that this movie is happening, because there’s a trailer. Really! Watch it here:

So: The “Entourage” movie is real, three years after the HBO comedy went off the air following eight seasons and nearly 100 episodes. The hit show chronicled the Hollywood adventures of a rising movie star named Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and his close crew consisting of his childhood best friend/manager Eric (Kevin Connolly); half-brother, Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon); and other pal Turtle (Jerry Ferrara). The whole thing was loosely based on the life of Mark Wahlberg, who served as an executive producer and occasional guest star.

Though frequently skewered as mere fame-bro fantasy, dressed up with fancy cars and barely-clothed women in almost every episode, the show was also fascinating for its inside-baseball look at the entertainment industry. And really, it wasn’t that far from reality: Jeremy Piven’s caustic agent Ari Gold — a role that netted him three Emmy awards — and his colleagues traded dialogue that now sounds awfully similar to some of the more brutal hacked Sony emails.

As it went on, “Entourage” became more of a parody of itself, as real-life actors clamored for cameos. The series finale in September 2011 was pretty absurd: Really, Vince married that Vanity Fair writer after knowing her for a week? Ari quit the industry? Sloan forgave Eric for sleeping with her stepmother and they lived happily ever after?

We got some answers and updates in the trailer: Ari is obviously back in the business and has several meltdowns. Vince (no sign of his wife) is a director about a movie where he’s apparently a robot DJ. Eric and Sloan still exist. There are already jokes about Turtle’s weight loss.

And it even has a — vague — release date: Summer 2015.
