Version 0 of 1.

Nigel Pearson has requested a personal hearing with the Football Association after the Leicester City manager was charged with using “abusive and/or insulting words towards a spectator”.

Pearson was captured on video appearing to tell a fan to “fuck off and die” during the 3-1 defeat by Liverpool at the King Power Stadium on 2 December.

The Leicester manager has refused to apologise and was described as “arrogant” by the chairman of a Leicester supporters’ group. He will attend a personal hearing before an independent regulatory commission rules on any punishment, with a fine and touchline ban among the likely sanctions if he is found guilty.
