A major rescue operation was launched after a person was spotted in the River Ely in Cardiff. A man has been taken to hospital after being pulled from a river in Cardiff following a major rescue alert.
A person has been recovered from the water following the callout near Penarth Road Bridge at 20:20 GMT. The fire service sent two boats to the callout near Penarth Road bridge at 20:20 GMT. Police and paramedics also attended the scene.
