Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue said they took more than 100 calls about the blaze, which began at about 0730 GMT.
"We're asking residents in the Amersham Road area to remain indoors and keep windows shut until further notice, until such time we can assess the risk from the plume of smoke," a spokesman said.
