False documents charge
Police say two other men, Zagum Perviaz, 35, and Hamzah Safdar, 24, also from east London, helped to produce the documents that Mr Coe and Mr Keeler were said to have been carrying when they were arrested.
They are charged with conspiring to possess and produce false identity documents.
The court heard that a fifth man, Anthony Small, 33, of south-east London allegedly helped Mr Coe and Mr Keeler attempt to travel to Syria.
He planned to travel to Syria at a later date, police say.

All five men were remanded in custody and will appear again before the Central Criminal Court in the New Year.
A sixth man, Abdulraouf Eshati, 28, of no fixed address, appeared in court alongside the men on separate charges.
He is charged with possession of articles in connection to the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism and offences under the Immigration Act 1971. He was also remanded in custody.
