Man shot dead in Irish Republic Murder probe after town shooting

A 39-year-old man has been shot dead in the Irish Republic. Irish police have launched a murder investigation after a 39-year-old man was shot in Sligo.
It happened in the Cranmore area of Sligo shortly after midnight on Friday. A 12-year-old boy and a 44-year-old man were also injured. Sean Lynch was fatally wounded as he got out of a van in the Cranmore area shortly after midnight on Friday. He died later in hospital.
"The injuries to these males are not believed to be life-threatening," a Garda spokesman said. A 12-year-old boy and a 44-year-old man were also wounded in the attack. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
"The scene at Collery Drive has been preserved for technical examination and the state pathologist has been informed." Gardai said they believed a lone gunman was behind the attack.
