Two girls aged 13 and 14 have been charged with the murder of a woman whose body was found in a house in Hartlepool. Two teenage girls accused of murdering a woman in Hartlepool have appeared in court.
Angela Wrightson, 39, was discovered at her home in Stephen Street on Tuesday morning. The girls, aged 13 and 14, were charged with the murder of Angela Wrightson, 39, whose body was discovered at her home in Stephen Street on Tuesday morning.
A post-mortem examination revealed Ms Wrightson died as a result of blood loss and substantial injuries. One of the girls' mothers wept as they appeared at Teesside Youth Court.

The younger girl appeared in handcuffs, watched by her parents at the back of the courtroom. Her mother cried as she entered the room.

They will appear at Teesside Crown Court later.
