Carolina Panthers' Cam Newton injured in car crash
Version 0 of 1. The Carolina Panthers quarterback, Cam Newton, has been taken to hospital after he was involved in a car crash in Charlotte. According to the Charlotte Observer, a truck flipped over in an accident early on Tuesday afternoon and Newton was injured in the wreck. The player was then taken to hospital as a precaution, where it was confirmed he had two fractures in his lower back. “Mr Newton was involved in a two car collision on South Church street in Charlotte at approximately 12:30 today,” the Charlotte police said in a statement. “He and the driver of the other vehicle were both transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
