The US media projected Mr Huckabee, a former Arkansas governor and an ordained Baptist minister, would win the Iowa contest based on partial results from more than 1,780 locations across the state. The victory for Baptist minister Mike Huckabee is seen as a huge blow for Mr Romney, a former governor of Massachusetts, who has spent tens of millions of dollars more on his campaign.
