Version 0 of 1.

Tony Blair sensationally swatted away reports this week that his assets amounted to tens of millions of pounds, whittling the figures away to a comparatively meagre £10million.

But can the former PM’s most recent assertions really be accurate? It’s hard to believe considering the fortunes in business deals, consultancy contracts and impressive property portfolio he’s racked up since leaving No.10.

Here are some of his most impressive figures:

According to a report in the Sunday Times recently, once a month since November 2010, Blair has made £41,000 from a contract with Saudi oil company PetroSaudi. Through his company Tony Blair Associates, he also allegedly earns 2 per cent on any lucrative deals he helps them secure.

He earns on average £250,000 for every private speech or special appearance he makes.

Blair’s private jet is worth £30million, and apparently costs £7,000 for every hour it’s in the air.

He earns millions through his international consultancy work, and is employed by several countries. A recent advisory role with Kazakhstan was reportedly worth £7million a year, The Telegraph reports.

He’s also the official advisor of investment bank JP Morgan and insurance company Zurich International.

Since 2008, he and Cherie have been the proud owners of a £5.75 million 17th-century home in Buckinghamshire.

The couple also boast a luxurious Hyde Park townhouse worth £7.3million and an £800,000 mews house behind it.

Windrush Ventures Limited and Firerush Ventures Limited, the two companies that run Blair’s aforementioned business empire, revealed accounts of more than £7million a year from January 2014.
