Woman's body found in blaze flat

The body of a young woman has been found by firefighters called to a blaze at a flat in Surrey.

The body, believed to be that of a 21-year-old woman, was found at the property in Dukes Court, off Station Road, Addlestone.

A five-month-old baby boy, found asleep in a neighbouring room, is safe and well and being cared for by family.

Surrey Police said they were keeping an open mind about the cause of the fire but officers were investigating.

A spokeswoman said the force was working with fire investigation officers from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service.

The emergency services were called to the blaze just after 1000 GMT on Wednesday.
