Woman is raped in city car park

A young woman has been raped in a car park in Londonderry, the police have said.

The incident took place at the lower end of Spencer Road in the early hours of Saturday morning. The victim is aged in her 30s.

The attacker is said to be in his late 30s or early 40s and of stocky build with a shaved head.

He was wearing a beanie hat, blue jeans and black boots, and was carrying a blue off-licence bag.

Detectives said they want to hear from anyone who saw the woman and her attacker walking along Spencer Road between 0100 and 0200 GMT on Saturday.
