Teenager hit in face with shovel

A teenager is recovering after he was hit in the face with a shovel in County Antrim.

The 18-year-old man was taken to hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

He was beaten early on Sunday morning in the North Road area of Ballymena, County Antrim.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested and is being questioned. Police are carrying out a forensic examination of the scene.
