Version 0 of 1.

By an overwhelming show of hands at the General Synod the Church of England has cleared the way for female bishops to be appointed. The vote formally approves the legislation which was backed earlier in July and comes 20 years after the first female priests were ordained. The first women could be appointed before Christmas with the view to there being a female bishop in the House of Lords by Easter. Whether you are a female priest, an Anglican or know someone who is affected by this story we’d like to hear from you.

Are you a female priest? Have you been campaigning for female bishops since 1994? How do you feel now the legislation has been approved? What do you think the vote means for the Church of England?
