Man in court over father's death

A 36-year-old man has appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court charged with the manslaughter of a man who died in a County Antrim village.

Father-of-two Darren Murphy was found injured outside a bar in Armoy at 0200 GMT on Sunday. He died at the scene.

Raymond Paul Hamilton, 36 from Travers Place in Dervock, was released on bail on condition that he does not drink alcohol or contact witnesses.

Mr Hamilton spoke only to confirm he understood the charge.
