Version 0 of 1.

An inquest is to be reopened into the death of a soldier who collapsed and died in Wiltshire in 2006.

Pte Gavin Williams, 22, of Hengoed, Caerphilly was serving with the Second Battalion of the Royal Welsh Regiment at Lucknow Barracks in Tidworth.

He died after being made to do an informal punishment known as beasting.

Three soldiers were cleared of his manslaughter in 2008 but his family have asked for the inquest into his death to be reopened.

The date for the pre-inquest review by Wiltshire Coroner David Ridley has been set for 27 November.
