Dippers, who must be aged over 16, can register at the Beach Leisure Centre from 0945 GMT on Wednesday. Among this year's dippers was Keith England, who plunged into the sea in a home made motorbike.
The dip will take place at 1030 GMT. Mr England, who raised hundreds of pounds for charity, said: "I didn't get in as far as I wanted because my engine flooded."
Brownlee Armour, the president of the Aberdeen Lions Club, said: "The eventwent very well indeed, with about 100 people going into the water. So it hasbeen very successful.
"People raised more than £5,000 last year and this year there weremore people taking part, so we're very hopeful that it will raise more moneythan that this time round."
