Tajik train collision kills nine

A train and a minibus have collided in the capital of Tajikistan, killing nine people and seriously injuring three.

The accident occurred in the south-west of Dushanbe, when the bus reportedly drove through a level crossing and into the path of an oncoming train.

It is not known how many people were on the bus.

Khabibullo Munavvarov, from the Tajik automobile safety agency, said a preliminary investigation indicated the bus driver was to blame.
