A murder investigation has begun after a road collision led to the discovery of a woman's body at a house in West Sussex.

Police officers initially attended a road crash in Monkmead Lane, near West Chiltington, on Sunday night, after a man driving a Smart car struck a tree.

The 66-year-old was taken to Worthing Hospital, where he later died.

Police inquiries led to his home, about half a mile from the crash, where the body of a 63-year-old woman was found.
