Police have arrested three people after a teenager was stabbed on a London bus.

The boy, thought to be in his mid-teens, is in a serious but stable condition after the attack in Edmonton on Saturday afternoon.

Police said he was involved in an altercation with a group of youths, who then left the bus.

In a separate incident, a 17-year-old youth is in a critical condition with head injuries after an attack in a car park in Ilford early on Friday.

Police said a group of about 15 young men, aged between 17 and 22, had congregated in the car park in High Road, Ilford, at 0135 GMT when other young men arrived in a number of cars and a fight started.

A man aged 24 has been arrested in connection with the incident.
