A car has been found at the bottom of the River Towy in Carmarthen, Mid and West Wales Fire Service has confirmed. A car has been recovered from the River Towy in Carmarthen after a search involving fire and police officers.

Dyfed-Powys Police are expected to give more details later but it is not known if anyone was in the car. South Wales Police sent their specialist diving search team to help in recovering the car which was brought out of the water at lunchtime.
