Shopping centre guard is stabbed

A shopping centre security guard has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Birmingham city centre.

Three men wearing black clothing were seen running up the ramp into the Palisades shopping centre on Saturday afternoon.

They attacked the guard and stabbed him in the lower abdomen, but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A number of people have been arrested. West Midlands Police has appealed for witnesses to contact them.
