Pictures of smoke from the stadium were quick to circulate on social media. A Twitter image from inside the stadium, which has since been removed from the network, showed the remains of a construction van on the pitch area of the stadium. The vehicle was still smouldering when the photograph was taken. It was parked next to a charred shipping container, as a fireman surveyed the scene.
