Woman arrested over Gerald Nott death in Coleford

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder over the death of a 66-year-old man in the Forest of Dean.

Gerald Nott was found dead at a property in Queensway in Broadwell, Coleford on Sunday, shortly before 07:00 GMT.

Police said the woman, 46, was arrested following allegations he had been assaulted during the night.

Gloucestershire Police urged anyone with information about the death to contact them.

Mr Nott's daughter Jacqueline Nott said: "My sister and I would like to thank people for the kind messages about our Dad.

"Our Dad had a heart of gold and would help anyone. We love him lots and he will be extremely missed."

Police have been given extra time to question the arrested woman until Wednesday.
