Three injured in 999 ambulance crash in Yardley

Three people were taken to hospital after an ambulance on an emergency call was in a crash with a car in Birmingham.

A male paramedic injured his shoulder and two passengers in the car who suffered chest, leg and neck injuries had to be cut free.

The collision happened in Station Road, Yardley, at about 08:20 BST.

The ambulance was using its blue lights and sirens, an ambulance service spokesman said.
