The case against Lovell, whose last address was given as an apartment at Waterfoot in Newcastle, has been ongoing since 2004. The assets to be recovered include the seafront Newcastle apartment, two houses in Carryduff and a caravan. Another three properties in Belfast, Lisburn and Dromore, a number of cars and money are also to be recovered. In the High Court on Wednesday, a judge accepted that Lovell had committed mortgage fraud and tax evasion and that his criminal record which includes a number of convictions for theft and burglary showed a tendency for dishonesty. |
