It is understood that Countrywide Assured, which is based in Preston in Lancashire, has written letters to the 6,548 affected customers.

I had a letter from Countrywide about this earlier in the week detailing exactly what information was on the cartridge. At the bottom of the letter a paragraph saying that I should pay a fee to a Credit Reference Agency so that should any attempt be made to fraudulently gain benefit using my details it is identified earlier.
