The WICB also apologised to “West Indian fans and all cricket fans for this most regrettable situation and the premature end to the tour”. Sri Lanka have already been lined-up as replacements to play India in a five-match one-day series starting next month. The WICB says it will now hold an emergency meeting on Tuesday “to conduct a thorough assessment of all the ramifications of the premature end to the tour”.
