Man held in connection with death

A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of another man in Falkirk on Saturday.

Central Scotland Police had been called to a disturbance at about 0115 GMT at The Hedges in the Camelon area of town.

A 54-year-old had suffered serious injuries and was taken to Stirling Royal Infirmary where he later died.

Officers confirmed that a 23-year-old man was in custody. He is expected to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday in connection with the incident.
