School fight
Police said they were investigating if a school fight involving three male students earlier in the day, which resulted in three arrests, was linked to the shooting.
Clark County School District police lieutenant Ken Young told AP television news: "We are investigating the origin of the initial fight, and seeing if there was any tie to this incident this evening."

This is just disturbingly sick... I used to ride the school buses here, and this is VERY disturbing. I hope none of those shot die!Ryan, Las Vegas, Nevada, United StatesThis is just disturbingly sick... I used to ride the school buses here, and this is VERY disturbing. It is a sad day when children getting off a school bus are targets for murderers. The area where it happened isn't the best, nor is it the worst...it's shocking that it happened at all. I hope the police catch the perpetrators and that they are charged to the fullest extent of the law.Dennis Peters, Las Vegas, NV
OK, so now we can't go the mall, or church, or ride a school bus without running the risk of getting shot. Am I the only one that thinks that US gun control no longer exists (if it existed in the first place)? I pray for those that were hurt or killed and their families these past few weeks. I want the presidential candidates to discuss this topic while they are on the campaign trail. What will be done to protect our children from being shot while they are exiting their school bus? Or protect those that are going to church? This is crazy and it's about time something is done about this.Jessica, Brooklyn, New York
