The wife of "missing" canoeist John Darwin has been remanded in custody on two charges of deception. | |
Anne Darwin appeared at Hartlepool magistrates accused of dishonestly obtaining sums of £25,000 and £137,000. | |
Her solicitor said Mrs Darwin, 55, was "tearful" and "quite emotional". She will appear before the court again via videolink on 14 December. | |
