A gunman who shot at least five people in the car park of the New Life Church, Colorado Springs, has been killed by a security guard, police say. At least four people have been killed in shooting incidents at religious centres in Colorado in the western US.
One person was killed in the shooting and four others were injured. A gunman opened fire at a training centre for missionaries in the state capital, Denver, killing two people. The killer fled the scene.
In an earlier incident, also in Colorado, two people were killed and two injured by a gunman in a Denver missionary training centre. Twelve hours later, one person was killed outside a church in Colorado Springs before the gunman was shot and killed by a security guard.
Police have not yet determined whether the incidents - which happened some 70 miles (110km) apart - were linked. So far police have not determined whether the two incidents were linked.
