A spokesman for NI Water said its workers were responding to 385 calls for help. Frank Stewart from NI Water said its workers had taken 385 calls.
The Killowen Road, between Rostrevor and Kilkeel has been closed to traffic. "We are doing our best to ensure the network operates normally and the affected areas are returned to normal service as soon as possible," he said.
Charlotte Street, Warrenpoint, Ballymaderfy Road, Kilkeel, Turmore Road, Newry and Ballyards Road, Armagh, are also closed. "We would ask the public to keep in touch and let us know immediately of any problems."
The Kilbroney Road between Rostrevor and Hilltown and the Greenpark Road in Rostrevor are also affected. Many roads around Rostrevor have been closed because of the flooding. These include the Greenpark Road, the Old Killowen Road and the Kilbroney Road towards Hilltown.
Weather forecasts indicate that the rain is expected to ease later, although there will be some blustery showers. Other road closures include the Turmore Road in Newry, the Ballyards Road in Milford and the Portstewart to Coleraine Road.
