Mrs Yates-Badley described her husband as "the love of my life".
"I will miss him as a best friend and husband who said he would be there always and forever," she said.
Her tribute was read out at St Nicholas Church by Canon David Cook, who conducted the couple's wedding in October.
The service began with the reading of a letter written by the couple's three-year-old daughter.
"I know you are never going to see me grow up but mummy says I will see you every night in my dreams. Good night, sleep tight," she wrote.
