Father charged with son's murder

A 51-year-old man has been charged with murdering his son at his home in Merthyr Tydfil.

Martin Thompson is accused of stabbing Craig Thompson to death at his home in Lavender Road, Gurnos.

Craig Thompson, 29, was found dead by emergency services at the house in the early hours of Friday.

Martin Thompson was remanded in custody by magistrates at Pontypridd and is due to appear before Cardiff Crown Court next week.
