Body found on path behind school Teenager charged over body find

A police investigation has been launched after a young man's body was found behind a school in West Lothian. A 17-year-old youth has been charged in connection with the death of a man whose body was found behind a school in West Lothian.
The body was discovered on a footpath at the back of Inveralmond Community High School in the Ladywell area of Livingston on Saturday morning. The body of John Jenkins, from East Calder, was found on a footpath at the back of Inveralmond Community High School, Ladywell, Livingston.
Lothian and Borders Police are treating the death as suspicious and have appealed for information. The 27-year-old's body was discovered on Saturday morning.
A tent has been erected near the path and forensic officers have been examining the scene. Police said the 17-year-old had been charged and would appear at Linlithgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
A spokeswoman for the force said: "Following an incident this morning in Ladywell, police are investigating the death of a young man."
An incident room has been set up and police have asked for anyone who knows anything about the discovery to contact them.
