Two Commonwealth Games officials due to appear in court over alleged assaults have been released.

Indian Olympic Association secretary general Rajeev Mehta, 49, and wrestling referee Virinder Malik, 45, also from India, were arrested on 1 and 2 August.

Mr Mehta was released after the Crown decided there should be no proceedings against him.

It is believed that Mr Malik was released after being issued with a fine or warning.
