An Australian weightlifter has admitted assaulting a member of the Welsh team at the Commonwealth Games.
Francois Etoundi, 29, head-butted Welsh weightlifter Gareth Evans, 28, breaking his nose, at the athletes' village at 05:30 on Wednesday.
At Glasgow Sheriff Court, he was ordered to pay Mr Evans £400.
Etoundi won a bronze medal in the weightlifting 77kg category on Sunday. It appears the problem arose after Mr Evans' girlfriend hugged him.
Sheriff Andrew Cubie said Etoundi had chosen to bring the law of the playground to the Commonwealth Games.
Earlier, a Team Wales spokesman said: "We're aware of an incident that occurred involving a member of Team Wales."
