These are the men police want to speak to after violence broke out during a protest march in Cardiff opposing Israel's military action in Gaza. South Wales Police has released CCTV images following the violence which erupted on Mill Lane on Saturday. Supt Steve Jones said the incident was "completely unacceptable" and was extremely distressing for bystanders. Police are also appealing for mobile phone footage from witnesses on the day. Fighting began as the march made its way past the bars with tables, chairs and glasses thrown. Supt Jones added: "The actions of the individuals involved will not be tolerated and officers are currently reviewing evidence in order to bring any offenders to justice." After the march a man, 22, from Caerphilly, was arrested on suspicion of assault and a 33-year-old man from Pontypridd for affray. Both have been bailed. At the time, Cardiff South and Penarth MP Stephen Doughty and Newport councillor Majid Rahman, who both took part in the rally, raised concerns over the policing of the event. Anyone who recognises the individuals or has mobile phone footage is asked to call police on 101. |
