Two held over shooting released

Two men being questioned about the shooting of an off-duty police officer by dissident republicans in Londonderry have been released without charge. The PSNI said the men were arrested at their homes in the city on Wednesday and were questioned at Antrim. The 43-year-old Catholic officer was shot after leaving his son off at a school in Bishop Street on 8 November. He was struck on his face and arm but was able to drive himself to a nearby police station. |
