Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon signaled Thursday that Israel could broaden its air and ground offensive in the Gaza Strip beyond finding and destroying Hamas rockets and tunnels. Israeli officials also indicated that one of its soldiers is still missing following an attack on Sunday, and believed dead.

The missing soldier was taken after a 50-year-old M113 armored personnel carrier was destroyed by a volley of rocket-propelled grenades in the Shujaiyeh neighborhood of Gaza over the weekend, Haaretz reports. The other six soldiers on board were killed.
