Police in Strabane are urging people to be vigilant following a telephone bomb warning.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a caller claimed that a device had been left near the police station in Strabane.

Extensive searches have been carried out, but nothing has been found, a police spokesman said.

He said that anyone who notices a suspicious object should contact police immediately.
