Five children and driver killed in French minibus crash

The Renault Trafic minibus was carrying seven children aged between 10 and 12 who were on a sports club outing, a club organiser and a driver, all from the Seine-et-Marne region outside of Paris. It appears to have been involved in a head-on collision with a lorry near the town of Troyes, in north-central France. The victims included the minibus driver. Three people were reported to be injured. The French president, François Hollande, expressed his "great sadness" over the incident. Two government ministers visited the scene. |
