Man on motorway murder bid charge

A 25-year-old man is due to appear in court later, charged with attempted murder after an incident on a Northern Ireland motorway.

He also faces charges of false imprisonment and assault.

It is understood the charges are connected to an incident on the M2 motorway close to Greencastle on Monday.

The man is expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Wednesday, a police spokesman said.
