http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-28411855 Version 0 of 1. A 16-year-old boy has suffered a fractured skull in what police believe to have been a targeted attack. Two men and a woman had forced their way into a house in the Dennistoun area of Glasgow and assaulted the teenager with a blunt weapon. A boy aged 13 was also assaulted in the incident in Whitevale Street around 21:55 on Sunday evening. The three people forced entry past a 47-year-old woman, who attended the front door but was not injured. They then made off in an unknown direction. The 16-year-old was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where his condition is described as stable. 'Not random' The 13-year-old boy was also taken by ambulance after suffering a minor knee injury but was later discharged following treatment. Police Scotland has appealed for witnesses and information. "We're continuing significant enquiries into the circumstances of this incident and would like to reassure the public and local community that we believe this attack is not random," said Det Insp Ogilvy Ross. "I'd like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of Whitevale Street at the time of the incident. "Our enquiries have revealed that, shortly after the incident, at Whitevale Street, a Ford Mondeo car was vandalised in Bellfield Street, around 22:05 hours. "I'd like to speak to any local people who may have witnessed anyone acting suspiciously around Bellfield Street around that time." |
