Thunderstorms are expected to hit much of Wales on Saturday leading to warnings of localised flooding. Flash flood warnings have been issued as thunderstorms are expected to continue to hit much of Wales on Saturday.
The Met Office has issued amber 'be prepared' alerts which come into force for the entire day. An amber "be prepared" alert is in place for the entire day and strong wind gusts and large hail are possible.
Only extreme west and north-west Wales are expected to escape torrential downpours. Lightning is forecast for parts of Gwynedd, but torrential downpours are expected to move further north clearing by Saturday night.
The Met Office said frequent lightning, large hail and locally strong gusts were possible in places. Only parts of west Wales are likely to escape the worst of the weather.
"Significant flooding is possible where these do occur from surface water as well as from small, fast-responding watercourses," its forecasters warned.
