Version 0 of 1.

A mother has hit out at the "disgracefully lenient" sentence given to a man who exposed himself to her daughter when she was six years old.

Scott Greer, 20, from Cliftonpark Avenue, north Belfast, was jailed for two years and nine months on Friday for a series of sex-related offences.

He could be released in a matter of months. But the girl's mother said she had been robbed of her childhood.

"She's not the childish child she was, that was taken from her," she said.

"At six, you don't need to see that. For that to happen - and in the space of a year and a half, for another incident to happen. He had the space to realise what he had done was wrong, but he continued."

At a previous court hearing, Greer pleaded guilty to 16 charges relating to inciting or attempting to incite gross indecency with a child as well as three counts of making indecent pictures of children.

He agreed to spend a further three years on probation when released from custody.

He has also been placed on the sex offenders' register for life.
