Version 0 of 1.

Classroom assistants belonging to the Unison union have voted to accept an offer from employers.

More than three-quarters of them voted to accept the deal on offer, which adds an extra £15m to compensate for changes in work conditions.

It is the third of four unions to rule out strike action, with Nipsa left as the only union refusing to accept the proposed job evaluation process.

Nipsa's 3,000 classroom assistants are striking every Tuesday and Friday.

It is the only union to have taken industrial action in the dispute over pay and conditions, and plans to continue its campaign at least until Christmas.

A meeting of all unions and employers has been called for Friday.
