Two critical after birthday party Nothing toxic in 'party powder'

Two men are critically ill in hospital following a house party in Waterford in the Republic of Ireland. Nothing toxic was found in a white substance recovered after a house party in Waterford where two men fell critically ill, Irish police have said.
It is understood that 14 people fell ill after attending a 21st Birthday party at a house in Ballybeg Square in the city on Saturday. Fifteen people were taken to hospital after the 21st birthday party in the Ballybeg estate early on Sunday.
Three people are being treated at Waterford Regional Hospital. The two men described as critical are in the hospital's intensive care unit. Three remain in hospital, two men in their 20s are seriously ill.
Gardai are examining a white substance which was found at the house on Sunday. Speaking on RTE, Superintendent Dave Sheehan said the white substance did not contain a horse tranquiliser and nothing toxic was found.
They have warned anyone at the party who is suffering from nausea or rapid heartbeat to contact their doctor or go to hospital immediately. He could not comment further as a 25-year-old man is in custody in connection with the incident.
The three people are being treated at Waterford Regional Hospital.
